My illiteracy in the English language has affected my career – Zimboo confessed

Veteran actor and film maker, Iddris Abubakari known largely in the Ghanaian movie industry as Zimboo was the guest of My Northern Achiever on Sagani TV where he confessed to have been affected personally by his inability to read and write.

Iddris Abubakari (Zimboo)

My Northern Achiever is a profiling program where prominent Northern Ghanaians who have toiled so hard in their respective fields of endeavours are hosted to share their life experiences with viewers.

According to Zimboo in a conversation with host Abdul Jalil Naabeli, his mother had foretold him about this day from his childhood when he shall regret ever leaving school after he took school fees from her to pay for school but refused to attend after all.

“My mother had told me I will regret ever shunning my formal education, it is something I never forget…she’s still alive though and I’ve started regretting, I always remember her words whenever a topic of education comes up” he said

However, the veteran Tallywood actor confirmed on July 30th 2021 to have had a better education in the Arabic language and Islamic education on the program.
